You can have the best marketing strategies in the world, but if you don't believe success is possible, you'll stop before you even start.
Instead, integrate these Abundance Mind-hacks with your marketing plan in 2015, and enjoy superhero-like power as your embark upon your Client/Money goals in 2015.
Mind-Hack #1: Ask Better Questions
One of the biggest obstacles I see many incredibly talented entrepreneurs face is replaying the negative tape, “What if I can't?”
As you can imagine, this repeated mantra is scary, demotivating, and not helpful.
Instead ask yourself, “What if I can?”
Get yourself into this mindset as you implement Client Attraction practices such as networking, direct outreach, or 1-1 consultations. Notice how this positive focus impacts your results.
And for extra credit-- some related abundance hacks:
- How can I accomplish this with ease? (focuses you toward your goal + resourcefulness + ease)
- Why do I want to do this? (tap into your inner motivation-- this is your fuel)
- How will I feel after I've done this? (experience the emotional rewards right now)
- Who has done this? (flood yourself with positive references that others have done this, and it is possible)
One story Tony Robbins likes to tell at live events is the story about how he got vital mentorship that helped him get where he is today. If you aren't familiar with T-Rob, Tony has helped millions of people overcome their biggest challenges through his multi-million dollar business.
Even if you've heard of Tony, you might not be familiar with his background. Like so many inspirational leaders, Tony's upbringing was less than ideal. In fact, his father used to beat him and he was homeless as a teen. Still, he hungered to turn his life around, fell in love with NLP and personal development, and found a personal development guru that he believed was the key to bringing his business and skillset to the next level. The only problem was-- he didn't have the money. So he asked for a scholarship and his mentor emphatically said NO. If Tony wanted the mentorship, he would have to pay just like everyone else.
What!? No scholarships!? After his anger subsided, Tony decided he would find a way to come up with the money. Instead of focusing on, “What if I can't?” Tony relentlessly focused on “What if I can?” until he came up with his tuition...and the rest is history.
Mind-Hack #2: Admit that You Want It (and believe that you're worth it)
I've mentioned to you in past blogs like this that I've come a long way in my life and business. In fact, it was only 5 years ago that I was very ill, broke, and had to move back in with my parents. It was a humbling time!
If you told me that in December of 2014, I would be running my own successful coaching biz and making 5 figures a month, I would never have believed you!
Let me tell you-- When it comes to mindset issues, I have experienced it all! In fact, 5 years ago, when I went through my illness, I realized that all my life, I had been afraid to say my goals out loud. I was afraid to admit that I wanted things. Like saying, “I want a boyfriend” or “I want a six-figure business.” It was too vulnerable because, what if I didn't get those things? What if I failed? What if I was disappointed?
And you know what was funny? Even though it was the exact thing I was trying to avoid, when I spent my life thinking that way, I was constantly feeling afraid and disappointed! My life was ruled by fear.
But when I finally started admitting what I really wanted, and believing that I was worthy, I started making major strides in my business (and even found a partner!), and things just keep getting better.
And if I could give you one last rockin' Mind-Hack piece of advice for the new year, it would be to act “AS IF.”
Mind-Hack #3: Act "AS IF"
Act as if you can. As if you were infinitely powerful. As if you had no doubt. Act as if you weren't afraid. Act as if you are loved beyond measure. Act as if the universe wants you to get paid for doing what you love. Act as if there are lots of ideal clients waiting in the wings...just hoping you'll show up.
If you're going to dwell...why not dwell on the positive?
And then one day, you'll wake up and realize that you don't need to “act” anymore, that this is just your new reality. And (surprise!) this is the real you.
